What We Believe

We believe that all men can be saved. That Salvation is the gift of God through faith in Jesus Christ. We further believe that once you are saved, you are the only person that can separate yourself from the divine plan that God has for your life.

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved". Romans 10:9

We believe the Scriptures teach that Christian Baptism is the immersion in water of a believer in Christ. It is a commemoration of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. When we are baptized, we show our obedience, the actions of Christ that won our salvation. 

Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit". Acts 2:38-41

We believe that the Holy Spirit empowers us to be effective witnesses. A faithful Christian witness is one who not only tells the truth, but also lives the truth. It is impossible to be an effective witness for Christ apart from the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth". Acts 1:8

We believe that prayer is an essential tool in the life of every follower of Jesus Christ. After a believer has gone through the process of uniting with Christ through repentance and faith, prayer is needed to help that believer stay focused on a holy way of living. Through the aid of the Holy Spirit, prayer puts every believer in line with the providence of God and in harmony with His will.  Matthew 6:9-13

We believe that a sanctified holy life is the only way to live. "Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God". 2 Corinthians 7:1 

We believe that we are strangers and sojourners passing through this world below and that God has ordained a time to call us back home. "Let not your hearts be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also". John 14:1-3
